Mobile app development in Prato for apps used on the shop floor
iOS and Android apps for companies in the Prato manufacturing district: data capture in production and warehouse, orders from the sales network, jobs recorded in the field — all connected to the system you already run.

When it is worth it
Almost no business app
is built to be downloaded.
The apps we build for companies here rarely reach the stores as products. They exist because data is written on paper and retyped at the end of the day, because a sales rep takes orders on a notepad and emails them in, because the person on the floor has no way of telling the system what just happened.
The value is not in the app, it is in the connection: if it does not talk to the system you already run, you have only moved double entry onto a smaller screen.
So the first question we ask is not what the app should look like. It is which data has to go in, from where, and where it must end up.
What we build here
The apps we get
asked for in Prato.
Not a catalogue: what actually comes up when the company is manufacturing, supply chain or logistics.
Shop floor and warehouse data capture
Barcode and QR scanning with the camera, goods in and out, job progress recorded where it happens. It works where there is no signal: data syncs as soon as the phone is back in coverage.
Orders from the sales network
Catalogue, customer-specific price lists, live availability, and the order landing straight in your system. The person at the customer site sees the same prices as the office, without a phone call to confirm.
Subcontractors and outsourced work
A dedicated login for the people working on your behalf: what was delivered, what is in progress, what came back. The status of a batch stops living in a chain of messages.
Field service and maintenance
Reports filled in on site, photos attached, customer signature, hours logged. Getting back to the office is no longer when the day gets reconstructed.
How we build them
One codebase,
both app stores.
The technical decisions that drive cost and how long the app will last. The full method is on the software development page.
Hybrid, not two apps to maintain
A single codebase for iPhone and Android. For business apps the result is indistinguishable from native and maintenance costs half. Where native is genuinely required — unusual hardware, extreme performance — we say so.
Connected through an API
A Laravel backend and integration with the software you already run, including older systems: through an API where one exists, otherwise via the database or scheduled exchanges. This is where projects are won or lost.
Works without a connection
Coverage fails in production halls, warehouses and on the road. The app works on local data and syncs afterwards, with conflict rules agreed with you.
On the stores or only for your staff
Published on the App Store and Play Store if the app is for customers, distributed internally if it is for employees. The developer accounts stay in your company name.
Real work
An app that talks
to the back office.
Where we are
The Prato office.

For an app that has to work in production, the first meeting is more useful at your site: half an hour watching how data moves today beats an hour on a call.
FAQ
Before you ask.
It comes down to two things: how many functions it needs and how complicated the connection to your existing system is. After the first meeting you get a fixed-scope quote in writing, not an open-ended estimate.
If you do not need the camera, offline use or notifications, a web app is often enough: it costs less and skips the stores entirely. A real app is needed when people work without signal, scan codes, or must be reached by notification. We check this first, and we do recommend the cheaper route when it fits.
In most cases yes. We have integrated both recent platforms and software with many years behind it: where APIs exist we use them, otherwise we work through the database or scheduled exchanges.
Yes: source code, repository, credentials and documentation are yours on delivery, and the store accounts are registered to your company. If you change supplier, the app does not stop.
Apps need periodic maintenance: every year the operating systems change requirements and the stores ask for adjustments. We put the annual cost in the quote so it does not arrive as a surprise twelve months later.
No, we run projects across Italy and abroad. Being nearby changes one thing that matters: we can watch the process instead of being told about it. If Florence is easier, we have an office there too.

Is there a piece of data being written down twice?
Tell us the route it takes today: who records it, on what, and where it ends up. In one meeting we can tell whether an app solves it or whether connecting what you have is enough.
